"Rockabilly Rules" can take you from zero to intermediate in 6-weeks.

Each lesson delivers new moves and important components of the dance that build on the previous one.

In this way students move with confidence each week toward an easy understanding of how the dance actually works.

This is the fastest way to learn Rockabilly and creates the most enjoyment for the least effort.

Hi Nick and Julie,

Laura and I thought you did a great job of the rockabilly workshop, plus the follow up of the 6 weeks of lessons.

We are always looking for extra moves and different styles of dancing and we believe that you presented and encouraged students in a relaxed and professional manner.

We regard you amongst the best teachers with technique and style in Perth. We have no hesitation in recommending you for any upcoming dance lessons.

Mick and Laura

 Rockabilly Rules Course

Learn to dance like a true Rockabilly in 6 easy steps

Week - 1. Get The Basics

Mens and ladies' footwork. Essential rhythm, communicating with your partner and how to remember the moves. Some pointers on style and having fun before you're an expert.

Week - 2. Leads & Signals

Essential skills in leading & following and why you can't dance without them. How to establish the optimum body tension. The importance of timing and getting a feel for the music.

Week - 3. Angles & Spacing

Establishing the correct arm angles, body lines and dance space. All are needed to create smooth flowing movements without effort. Not knowing these will sabotage your efforts.

Week - 4. Blocks

Blocks provide power for fast movement as well as reinforcing the leads. Without mastering blocks the dancing can lack conviction and feel weak. Firm blocks also play a part in defining the character of the dance.

Week - 5. Mirror vs Opposite

Insight into the directions of movement. Why some moves feel better at certain times and not others. Also, learn a special trick to double your repertoire instantly.

Week - 6. Flair & Style

What makes a true Rockabilly dancer-? In week 6 we show you how to put it all together. Really nail the style by capturing the true Rockabilly spirit and reinforcing everything you've learned.

Course FAQ's:   also view our FAQ's page for more info.

Do I need a partner?
You don't have to book with a partner but it's better if you do. A partner can be assigned to you on a first come first served basis. There's little rotation during the course so it might be a challenge if you don't 'click' with them. Also, close to the start date we don't guarantee you a place unless there are even male-female numbers. It pays to be quick!

How do I book?
Use the "Book Now" button to go to our payments page. Once there you can fill out the booking form and pay using a credit card. Early payment ensures you get a place in the course. Phone or email bookings are not confirmed automatically. Those that do get confirmed must be paid by the first lesson at the latest.

How do I know if my booking has been accepted?
If you pay online a receipt will be emailed to you right away. If you miss out due to uneven numbers, you will be notified via email or phone a few days before the first class. If this happens you'll be automatically listed for the next course.
